Guardamar del Segura is a typical mediterranean village. It is calm, nice and full of light. It includes more than 11km of coastline, with golden and thin sand and the quality of its water which make it one of the best coastas strip from the mediterranean. It is made up of 8 beaches, ranging from the most cosmopolitan -playa Centro- until the unspoilt and lonely – els Tossals-.
It has a unique dune system which, after the reforestation made, forms a littora forest of 800 hectares, currently national park. Other ecosystems to highlight are the mouth of the river Segura, called the Gola of Guardamar and in the south the national park of Laguna de la mata, which is a natural saline and bird reserve, with enabled sighting areas.
